German police to move controls away from Luxembourg border

German police will move border controls away from main crossing points into Luxembourg from Thursday morning, following complaints from Home Affairs Minister Léon Gloden.

Cross-border workers travelling to and from Luxembourg have complained of delays in the past week, since Germany decided to step up security at its borders with all nine neighbouring countries.

It comes as Germany hosts the month-long Euro 2024 football tournament, which began on Friday and will see thousands of fans descend on the country.
