Energy support measures for Luxembourg residents have cost almost €600 million since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the government said on Wednesday.
The aid package cost the state €574.5 million from 2022 up until the end of May this year, with measures to cap electricity prices accounting for over a quarter of the total, according to figures released by Finance Minister Gilles Roth and Economy Minister Lex Delles in a joint response to a parliamentary question.
