QUEEN Maxima of the Netherlands on Thursday recognized progress made by the Philippines with regard to financial inclusion, but said more needed to be done to ensure access to financial products and services.
‘One of the things is that we see that the cost of actual connectivity is still very high, and the quality of that connectivity is not very good,’ said the Queen, who visited the country this week in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
