“I’m pleased to hear the minister say that competitiveness is at the forefront of the new government,” said PWC managing partner in his opening remarks at the 17th Journée de l’Économie. “Before that, it was forgotten.”

This–competitiveness–was the theme of the day, following the news that Luxembourg in the 2023 “World Competitiveness Yearbook,” its lowest ranking in 10 years.

“Competitiveness is at the heart of my political action,” said economy minister (DP) at the event, stressing the need for decisive action to ensure the country’s long-term economic prosperity.
