French rail services are expected to be back to normal by the start of the week after the network was sabotaged by as yet unknown perpetrators ahead of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
“I can tell you today that the complete return to normal is planned for Monday,” Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete told reporters.
Traffic resumed on Saturday morning on the eastern high-speed line, while seven out of 10 trains on average running with delays of one to two hours on the north, west and and southwest TGV lines, national train operator SNCF said in a statement earlier.
