Luxembourg’s national health insurance fund CNS recorded a surplus of €100 million last year, according to its latest annual report published on Monday, a rare bright spot with deficits expected over the coming years.
The 2023 annual results for the Caisse Nationale de Santé were considerably better than forecast, after the social security ministry predicted a surplus of €25 million in a press release at the end of last year. The CNS posted a deficit of almost €42 million in 2022.
