A 2020 law that allows medical professionals to consult patients remotely, and for the CNS to reimburse such appointments in the normal way, is set to expire at the end of June. Discussions to extend it are ongoing, but no agreement has yet been reached.
53% of consultations were online in April 2020, during the scheme’s second month. By comparison, the proportion had dropped to 1% in May this year.
